STEAM EDUCATION SUPPORT COORDINATOR

DC Workforce Solutions is accepting applications for a STEAM Education Support Coordinator!

Pay: $55,000–$59,000/year

Work Environment: Hybrid role requires in-office work twice weekly, frequent community travel, and occasional evening/weekend work. Ability to drive a cargo van preferred.

Position Summary:
This role supports the launch of a new Mobile Learning Program, bringing educational opportunities to students in the community. The coordinator will build relationships with students, families, and school and housing staff to advance the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness. A key focus is expanding STEAM initiatives through mobile learning and home tutoring programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement STEAM mobile learning activities and curriculum.
Assess program effectiveness and facilitate professional development.
Integrate technology to enhance student engagement.
Coordinate partnerships with local organizations and manage contracted instructors.
Build culturally responsive relationships with families and support caregivers in STEM learning.
Maintain data tracking, monitor program effectiveness, and support family engagement efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
3-5 years of experience teaching or leading K-8 programming.
Experience with STEM-focused programs and working with at-risk youth.
Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of homelessness and housing instability issues.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice.
Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
